Odyssey Home programme

A free, fun and challenging home-based programme for people living with and beyond cancer.

Odyssey has been running challenging and fun residential adventurous courses for adults with cancer for over 25 years.

Whilst they are currently unable to run the residentials, they are offering a 6 week home-based programme designed to help move on from a recent cancer diagnosis and treatments. The programme is fun, confidence building and intended to help participants re-engage with life.

The programme is FREE to participate in. It just requires the ability to:

  • Join a 2 hour Zoom meeting once a week (hosted by Odyssey staff).
  • A few hours of free time each week to undertake a practical project supported by staff and other participants.
  • Move around outdoors in the immediate local area.

No great levels of fitness are required. All materials and guidance are provided by Odyssey at no cost to the participants.

The exact nature of each project is a surprise, to be unveiled at each weekly Zoom meeting. Any necessary materials will have arrived by post at the start of the programme. This surprise and mystery element has been a traditional part of our residential courses and adds considerably to the fun of taking part. The projects are all completely different – some will be indoor based, and some will take you outdoors in the local area.
