Get the right care and support from the right place
The health and care system in North Wales remains exceptionally busy and under huge pressure.
Our health board released this statement this week: “Primary care services are also facing significant pressure and this week we issued this press release about the challenges being faced by GP practices. These include the long-standing problems of recruiting staff, a huge increase in demand for GP appointments, as well as the challenge of providing ongoing care to patients who are waiting for hospital procedures that had been put on hold because of the pandemic.
There are also specific COVID-19 related challenges, such as having to limit access in person because of social distancing. As well as taking up the offer of a vaccine, wearing masks, rigorous hand hygiene and maintaining a social distance from others remain the best ways to prevent infection.
Anyone with an injury or illness that is not life-threatening should call 111 free from a landline or mobile phone, where they will receive 24-hour support and guidance.”
We ask for your continued support and understanding at this time.
Thank you.
