We ask that all our patients work with us to ensure that our appointment system is used appropriately. For example;
Please use our emergency/urgent appointments as a medical emergency only. These are not routine appointments.
Home visits are for emergency house bound patients. If a visit is required please request by 10.30am.
Please ask our receptionist’s advice as to which is the most appropriate appointment for you. One of our minor illness nurses may be able to help you, or see you sooner than a GP.
If you are unable to attend an appointment please let us know as soon as possible so that appointment is not wasted.
GPs are not qualified to give dental advice or treatment. Please contact your dentist or for an emergency dentist contact NHS Direct on 0845 46 47.
Our local pharmacies can provide expert advice on common illness and the best way to treat them, e.g. Coughs and colds, upset stomach, hay fever, head lice etc.
Our local opticians can give expert advice on eye problems that need urgent attention and the best way to treat them. E.g. Red eyes, foreign body in your eye, eye pain or discomfort.
The Dentist, Pharmacist or Optician are qualified in these specific areas and are able to refer you to the GP.
Thank you for your support.
